Things To Do in Charleston as a Teen

1. Charleston Fun Park

Charleston fun park is a great place to go for people of all ages. You roll up and immediately see go-karts zooming, arcade games flashing, and people yelling about mini golf scores. It’s got everything: bumper cars, VR stuff, a solid arcade, and a mini golf course that’s just the right amount of “I’m good at this until I hit the windmill.”

It’s perfect for hanging with your friends, burning some energy, and getting way too competitive over who won in gokarting.

And yes, there’s ice cream. And snacks. And probably someone winning 5,000 tickets and walking out with a lava lamp they’ll regret later.

Why it fun:

  • It has 2 big mini golf courses

  • Go-karts are fast. Like, “I didn’t know these things could corner like this” fast.

  • A big array of arcade games that are fun for everyone.

2. Catch a Movie at Cinemark in Northwoods Mall

After running around all day, it’s time to chill. Cinemark at Northwoods is on of the best movie theaters in charleston. It has full Recliner seats, good screens, and enough snacks to make you question your life choices.

This isn’t one of those sketchy theaters with sticky floors and a popcorn machine from 2006. It’s clean, the sound system actually makes explosions feel like explosions, and the seats? They are practically horizontal, you will definitely fall asleep.

And since it’s in the mall, you can hang before or after—grab food, shopping, maybe run into someone you like and pretend it was totally a coincidence.

Why it’s worth it:

  • Recliners. That’s it. That’s the pitch.

  • They play everything from the big blockbusters to random comedies you didn’t know existed but end up loving.

  • it's in a shopping mall so you can do stuff while you wait
